INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk (14oz.)
  • 1 can of evaporated milk (12 oz.)
  • 1 tsp of lemon zest
  • 1 tsp of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of almond extract
  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of white rum then add to taste
  • 1/2 can cream of coconut (15 oz)

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1:

In a large bowl or pitcher, add the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, cream of coconut, rum, cinnamon, nutmeg, almond, and vanilla.

STEP 2:

Stir well. Pour into glass bottles and chill in refrigerator.

STEP 3:

Serve chilled. Enjoy!

This is delicious, very easy, and tastes like American egg nog. I had doubled the recipe exactly, for a party. To reduce the rum volume, I doubled the other ingredients again, which made it taste just right. I used all organic ingredients, and since it doesn’t contain raw eggs, it seems safer than egg nog recipes. I would make this in the future instead of buying egg nog. Since everyone’s tastes vary widely, I highly recommend using only half of the recommended amount of rum, then add to taste.
